Myddelton House Glasshouses Reconstruction
Starting from the invisible below ground archaeology of Victorian footings, a complete re-build using contemporary materials but working to the photographic records and fenestration patterns of three disappeared glasshouses in the Kitchen Garden at Myddelton House. A Phase 2 conservation development of the listed Myddelton House Gardens. The Glasshouses are part of the restored Potting Shed complex and were active in the gardening and plant hybridisation activities of the horticulturist E.A. Bowles. Currently they house the gardens extensive collection of succulents.
