St John’s Way

Side infill extension to end of terrace victorian property, to form an open plan Kitchen Dining Room to the rear. The extension pitched roof reflects the existing aesthetic and produces a tall space while remaining a low height at the boundary. A triangular window in the pitch of the roof to the rear elevation provides ample natural light, added to by the new french doors to the extension flat roofed integrated porch section, that reflects the angled corner of the existing rear wing of the house in plan.

All new external doors and windows are triple glazed timber, thus providing the owners with a warm, light and modern addition to their home.

The interior of the house was partially modified with an new ground floor WC under the stairs, plus alterations to rear first floor bedroom converting a WC to a wardrobe plus internally insulating existing masonry walls.
